It is hard to argue that Coldplay isn't the hottest band on the planet right now. They have one of the best-selling albums worldwide, two of the most downloaded songs, and now they collect their third number one hit on the THO 100. "Violet Hill" displaces Madonna's "4 Minutes" in the #1 spot after her 10-week run. The song follows "Clocks" in 2003 and "Talk" in 2006 as Coldplay number ones on the chart. In fact, "Talk" also displaced Madonna at #1 after her nine week run with "Sorry." But "Violet Hill" may not be at the top for long, as Coldplay's own "Viva La Vida" is the largest point gainer and moves up to #4 this week. Next week we could have the same band at #1 and #2.
